Over the previous years Norfolk Southern has brought their Operation Awareness & Response-OAR train into Chattanooga, TN for all the First Responder in the general area, to learn from the Norfolk Southern Team the many way to know the safety issue when First Responder are dealing with a emergency situation on the railroad. Norfolk Southern with partner such as DuPont, and Transcaer are among the few that is part of the OAR Program. In April 2016 Norfolk Southern put a dedicated safety train in service with a locomotive, 2 box car classrooms, 4 tank cars, and 2 specially equipped flat cars to provide hands-on training in place of the DuPont car. This is also the first year this dedicated train make an appearance in Chattanooga. Special Thanks by Railroad Personnel for giving me permission to take this photo !!
