An early morning eastbound Amtrak Regional Express sprints through Linden, NJ bound for Newark, NJ and points north.

Compare this scene today to this one. from as "recent" as 1982 by fellow RP contributor Kay_Cee_Jones. Long gone are the asphalt ground level platforms - and NJT E units pulling stainless steel Budd cars.
