The second of fifteen gray "American Cities Sprinters" makes an appearance on the SEPTA system, today leading the transit agency's express "Great Valley Flyer" through Strafford, PA direct to Paoli and then every stop through till Thorndale.
To the right is the restored and in service 1885 built station which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The station sits roughly 15 miles from center city Philadelphia and is located on Amtrak's Keystone route, former PRR - also known as SEPTA's Paoli/Thorndale line. Interestingly, the station served Wayne, Pennsylvania, one station stop just east, for 2 years before being moved to this location. The station was restored and upgraded between 1999 and 2002, and was just recently repainted.
