| Labor Day weekend marked the N&W 611's return to service for 2018 following off-season repair work. In coordination with the North Carolina Transportation Museum, the long holiday weekend offered a variety of experiences with the famed steam locomotive, including service on the museum's regular excursion train on Monday. While the 2:30 train finishes boarding, the mighty J simmers in the afternoon sunshine at the Barber Junction depot. |
