| Class leader for a transitional model. CSXT 9000-9052 were built with both some Dash9 features (i.e. 4400 horsepower and the new split cooling system) but are similar to Dash8-40CW's externally and were classified as Dash8-44CW's when they were built, with CSX now classifying them as CW40-9's (they were derated to 4000 horsepower at one point). Here the clean class leader leads CN 327 through Dorval during a lucky period of sun not too long after quite a bit of rain. Trailing on this 88-car train is Dash8-40CW GECX 7303 (originally CR 6055, later CSXT 7303) and GP38-2W CN 4802. |
