Remarks & Notes
Once again, the RhB is short in tractive power momentarily, so the "old warhorses" Ge 6/6 II were put in the express train services. Ge 6/6 II # 704 "Davos", running for 53 years already, is pulling the Interregio 1148 from St.Moritz to Chur over the 65 meter high Landwasser viaduct near Filisur on the Albula line. During the month of September, the viaduct is "adorned" with huge flags (10 x 10 metres) of Switzerland, the cantons of Basel-Landschaft, Basel-Stadt and Graubünden, which refer to an advertising campaign by Graubünden Ferien, the RhB and other partners. Guests from the two Basel half-cantons receive various discounts this month in hotels, for consumption in restaurants, rides on the RhB, for mountain railway rides, etc.
