The Ge 4/4 II # 623 in the special Glacier Express paint scheme is slowly pulling the GLACIER EXPRESS # 902 from Zermatt to St.Moritz over the 65 meter high Landwasser viaduct, landmark of the Albula line of the Rhaetian Railway. The train has 2 second class panorama cars, 3 first class panorama cars and a kitchen/bar car, all built by StadlerRail. The meals are served from the kitchen car to the own seats of the guests. During the month of September, the viaduct was "adorned" with huge flags (10 x 10 metres) of Switzerland, the cantons of Basel-Landschaft, Basel-Stadt and Graubünden, which refer to an advertising campaign by Graubünden Ferien, the RhB and other partners. Guests from the two Basel half-cantons received various discounts this month in hotels, for consumption in restaurants, rides on the RhB, for mountain railway rides, etc.
