97304 “John Tiley” and 37516 “Loch Laidon” pass the boatyard at Frongoch with day 1 of Steam Dreams‘ 1Z45 08:31 Paddington to Pwllheli “The Cambrian Coast Express.” A rogue cloud came along, but thankfully I got 97304 in some sun. 1Z45 was scheduled to have a 40 minute recess at Mach, but this got amended on the day for a 5 minute stop. In oractice, it stopped at the station for 15 minutes, allowing me to leapfrog it.
