Furka station of the DFB on 2160 meter a.s.l. The cogwheel steamlocomotive HG 4/4 # 704, on a test run from Realp to Gletsch, is beeing turned on the manualy operated turntable. This locomotive has to run down the mountain on the 11.0 % grades chimney towards the mountain always, according to the boiler construction. So, from Furka through the Furka summit tunnel to Muttbach-Belvedere and down to Gletsch, the locomotive is running backwards.
