A 75 car empty coal train out of Russell is working down the Big Sandy towards Martin Yard. At Martin a new crew will hop on for the trip over to Hazard. The train is seen here passing classic ex-C&O signals at West Paintsville. This is an old C&O branchline that is in the heart of Central Appalachia Coal Country in Kentucky. The line is still littered with old C&O style signals, just come prepared that train traffic can be hit and miss.
