| Southbound freight works down the Spineline towards Nevada and onto Des Moines. The CNW 8701 was to end up as the UP 9805 with the UP merger, but somehow this unit and the 8646 have stayed CNW into 2017. The pair was stored at IRM but late February 2017 were put back into service in Chicago. Somehow the CNW lives on thru these 2 units til early 2018 when they were repainted finally into UP. |
