Fall colors are changing as Amtrak 68 The "Adirondack" passes through Crown Point with the Great Dome Car and Hickory Creek private car on the end. This will be one of the last runs with the dome car as Amtrak will be retiring it after this season.

Amtrak Adirondack and Predecessors

The Adirondack follows both the Hudson and the Lake Champlain shoreline on its leisurely trip between New York and Montreal. When it started, it was pulled by beautiful ALCO PAs purchased by Delaware & Hudson second-hand from the Santa Fe.
