A recent check on the progress of the Hudson Yards construction shows how much of the formerly open rails of the west side of Manhattan are being covered with buildings. In the picture one can see MTA Long Island Railroad trains parked in the yard, ringed by The High Line, but Amtrak’s open air days are over.
