Remarks & Notes
Locomotive Ge 4/4 II # 616 "Filisur" in the new paint scheme (foils) promoting a fund raising campaign for the restoration of the steamlocomotive G 3/4 # 1 "RHAETIA", which was the very first locomotive of the Landquart-Davos Bahn (LD), predecessor of the Rhaetian Railway, in 1889. The beautiful design of this "donation locomotive" was made by charming young graphique artist Michaela Rapp (of Süsskind SGD Graphic Design und Kommunikation AG, Chur), who says about herself to be one of the most enthusiastic fans of the RhB! On the locomotive are placed stickers of the associations which are part of the projekt "RHAETIA", the slogan "Our Number One needs 940'000 swiss francs of coal (money). Thanks for your donation!", a coloured drawing of the G 3/4 # 1 "RHAETIA" (made by Wolfgang Finke) and a donation "barometer" (showing how much money is donated already). Train Regio Express 1720/1229 from Disentis/Mustér via Chur-Landquart to Scuol-Tarasp is entering Ardez station. The castle-like building on the left is a typical former power switching station house.
