UP operated an advance "sweeper train" two hours ahead of President Bush's funeral train, seen here crossing the Navasota River bridge just north of Navasota, Texas. The rumor mill had the UP Veterans unit leading this train, but in reality, 1943 was staged just outside of town on the adjacent Eureka Subdivision as "protect power", just in case 41's train needed additional horsepower.
