Remarks & Notes
Cf du Nord 4-6-0 No 3.556 together with 2-8-0 No 4.061 at La Plaine depot, Paris. The 4-6-0 was one of the 150 built in 1908-12 to the design of Gaston du Bousquet that became SNCF class 230D whilst the 2-8-0 on the right was the first of 280 built in 1912-28 to the design of Georges Asselin. They were known as 'Les Boeufs'. It is interesting to note the Alsace-Lorraine wagon loaded with coal briquettes on the far right. Photo by the late George Grigs.

The time is gone, the song is over, snapshots and memories remains... Some things we remember, some we see now - and will not forget...
