Remarks & Notes
An eastbound Union Pacific coal train descends a 2 percent grade on the Front Range of the Rockies through the unique Flatirons rock formations just west of Plainview, Colorado, on February 28, 2011. The train is exiting Tunnel 4 and passing through Tunnel 3, and is going through a rock cut and about to enter Tunnel 2 on this scenic former Rio Grande main line west of Denver.
