In the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad’s enginehouse at Antonito, Colorado, Rio Grande 4-6-0 T-12 No. 168 undergoes an extensive restoration on June 6, 2018. The three-foot gauge Ten-Wheeler was built by Baldwin in 1883 and pulled trains on the Rio Grande for 50 years before being retired and put on display in a park in Colorado Springs. After sitting outdoors in the elements for 75 years, it headed over to the C&TS for restoration, and recent fundraising has reached the goal of getting the historic locomotive operating in late 2019. In addition, four wood passenger cars from the 1880s are being restored to create a complete historic train for No. 168 to pull.
