| Bernina pass line of the Rhaetian Railway along the frozen Lago Bianco on about 2250 meter a.s.l. Railcars ABe 4/4 # 52 "Brusio" and # 55 "Diavolezza" are pulliing train 4629 from St.Moritz to Tirano. The ice is estimated about 30 to 40 centimeter thick (11 to 15 inch). In the background 3166 meter high Piz Albris (left) and 2959 meter high Piz Lagalb (with the station of the ropeway). |
