SOO 749 has just arrived at Irvine Yard in Chippewa Falls, WI after a cold trip from Shoreham Yard in Minneapolis, MN. A crew member has left the locomotive to throw a switch for the engine track. Kerosene lanterns were still in use on switch stands in early 1971.
