As a part of "The Great Race to Ogden" in celebrations of the 150th Anniversary of the Transcontinental RailRoad's completion, "Big Boy" 4014 along with it's mate "Living Legend" 844 pull out of Laramie Historic Railroad depot on it's return run towards Cheyenne, WY on an overcast day with the national weather service winter storm warning active for the latter part of the day.
Landscape photography is difficult due to the challenge of combining good light and good scenery. Good railroad photography enters another level of complexity since it requires the first two while there is a train in view.
