The Cape Cod Dinner Train heads along the canal back to Hyannis as the sun sets. The Sagamore Bridge can be seen in the background. The FL9s that are powering the train are of Hew Haven vintage and ran revenue service on these very rails in the New Haven era. The railroad acquired them from the Connecticut Department of Transportation in 2018.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
