Remarks & Notes
Beautifully decorated with sunflowers, the blazon of Switzerland and the flags of canton Uri ans Valais, steamlocomotive HG 3/4 # 4 of the Dampfbahn Furka Bergstrecke (built in 1913 by the SLM Winterthur for the Brigue-Furka-Disentis Railway) is ready to pull the inauguration train 131 for the last leg Gletsch-Oberwald of the Furka mountain line, standing in the shed area of Realp DFB. The locomotive was owned by the Furka-Oberalp-Bahn and later the Matterhorn-Gotthard-Bahn, then on loan to the DFB from 1997. Since 2006 she is renovated as "FO # 4" and was donated to the DFB on this day, when the entire old line over the pass was opened.
