The CSX Troy local, based out of South Schenectady, rolls by a South Troy landmark, the Fortress of Shoddy. Completed around 1902, the building was constructed as a warehouse for the storage of wool shoddy by United Waste, the principal manufacturing facility of which was established in nearby Cohoes in 1899. B761 is running light engine NB to the last active customer in Troy and on this line, K-C Refrigeration Transport. This is the north end of the Troy Industrial and all that remains of railroading in Troy. Troy once hosted 4 railroads (NYC, D&H, B&M, Rutland).
