Delivered in November 1939 as part of Southern Pacific's third order for diesels, SP 1006 was rescued from a steel scrapyard some time in the late 80s or very early 90s. She has been loving restored by the amazing shop volunteers at SCRM and wears her as delivered black paint with white lettering.
