Remarks & Notes
The Eurocity 191 from Basel SBB via Liestal-Aarau-Zürich HB-Winterthur-St.Gallen-St.Margrethen-Bregenz-Lindau-Memmingen to Munich, is pulled between Zürich and Lindau/Gemany by a Re 421 of SBB Cargo (with approval for Austria and Germany), rented by the passenger division. This day, like often, this train had two locomotives in front, Re 421 # 392 and # 394 in multiple control, when runing between Uzwil and Flawil. The Re 421 # 379, # 383, # 392 and # 394 got a blue publicity paint scheme (adhesives) for the new offer between Zürich and Munich from december 2020: 6 times daily in 3,5 hours. Sadly, just when the locomotives had the publicity, it became clear, that it will not possible to reach this travel time from december 2020, but not until december 2021. The problem is, that the ETR 610/RABe 503, which will run between Zurich and Munich from next year, will not be able to make a driving change of the ATP system in the border station St.Margrethen, but have to stop for some minutes. The travel time between Zurich and Munich will be 4 hours from december 2020 (down from 4 hours 45 minutes now), after electrification in Germany, use of tilting technology in Switzerland and Germany and new Lindau Reutin station (instead of change of direction in Lindau main station).
