Parallel run of two timetabled vintage cogwheel trains of the Rigibahnen between Rigi Staffel and Rigi Kulm. On the left a train of the former Vitznau-Rigi-Bahn (VRB) with locomotive He 2/2 # 18 (built 1938 by SLM and BBC) and cars B # 8 (built 1873) and B # 16 (built 1925). On the right the snowblower locomotive He 2/3 # 8, which was built in 1930 by SLM and MFO, with cars B # 32 (buil 1875) and B # 11 "Bambus" from 1889 (rebuilt 1999 for 125 years Rigibahnen). It is 38 years since the locomotive # 8 was used for passenger service the last time. This day, on the initiative of engineer Martin Horath this was made true. The Rigibahnen are running vintage trains in the normal timetable on wednesdays this summer.
