During the late evening hours the heavy CSX G133-07 (Evansville,IN-Athens,GA) rocket south on the CSX Chattanooga Sub on the outskirts of Haletown, TN (MP J-130.1 Nickajack). The sky is almost golden and, the foliage is glowing is a mixture of dark colors indicating that fall is at it's peak here in the Tennessee Valley. The loaded grain train is on it's way to the Pilgrims Pride facility in Gainesville, GA via of Gainesville Midland but, first will have to get to Chattanooga and make the later evening run south via of the Western & Atlantic to Atlanta, and onward to Athens.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
Railroading is a 24 hour a day business, that never sleep. From sunset to sunrise the railroad must run. These image are taken by some of the best rail photographer out their.
