Remarks & Notes
We're Thinking Of You Honest Abe. On April 22, 1865 at 12:05 PM, Abraham Lincoln's Funeral Train passed through Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania on the original right of way of the Pennsylvania Railroad. On April 22, 2021 at 12:05 PM, a reenactment was staged for the 156th Anniversary of the event at The Star Barn. "Leviathan" 4-4-0 331 (Kloke Locomotive Works of Elgin, Illinois, 2009, based upon the 1868 Baldwin design) stands in for PRR 331, hauling 3 cars including the Lincoln Funeral Car. This train operates when events are held at the venue. The crew agreed to pose for a photo at the end of the day.
