This is the western facade of the 1889 built CNJ /Reading depot which once saw stub end station tracks, with the main diverging to the eastern side of the building, continuing on towards Bethlehem, PA. The station's tower can be seen reaching for the sky in the background, while, almost like old times, a passenger car sits parked on the west side. The station closed in 1967 and remained derelict until 1980, when the property was restored as a restaurant. The renovated property went through several owners (Depot Restaurant, Gingerbread Man, B&G Station, Jillian's Billiard Cafe) over the next two decades, lastly being called Banana Joe's which opened on Labor Day 2001. Banana Joe's "BJ's" logo can still be seen on the surviving passenger car, along with the name "Isabelle" painted on its side. The car is numbered "318" and a fading "Lehigh Railroad Limited" logo also appears. The car was used as a kitchen when the station was converted to a restaurant, as there was no kitchen in the station. The property closed in September 2007 after a drop-off in patrons. It has remained closed and vacant since then, slowly deteriorating.
