Phase VI. Amtrak 50th Anniversary engines 108 (Phase VI) and 100 (Midnight Blue) were the power for Norfolk Southern Corp Train 099/Amtrak 926 from Elmira to Albany-Rensselaer, NY on Tuesday, August 24, 2021. The trip was to deliver Viewliner II Sleepers 62523 (Wabash River) 62524 (Westfield River) from the CAF Factory where they were manufactured. These 2 cars represent the final delivery of the 130 car order and a new generation of long distance cars for Amtrak trains. The train is seen crossing the former Erie Railroad bridge over the Cheming River in Elmira, New York. Phase VI has also been applied to the recently delivered ALC42 AMTK 300.
