CSXT 7241 and 7247 are classed AC4400CWM by GE/Wabtec and as 'CM44AC' by CSX. Both units were rebuilt in Fort Worth TX at the GE/Wabtec plant from AC4400CW locomotives built in the 1990s. CSXT 7241 was former CSXT 244, and CSXT 7247 was former CSXT 283.
7247 is one of three known units from this order so far that were painted with the boxcar logo. The others are 7248 and 7254. In August, CSX decided to remove the boxcar logo from new and repainted equipment, adopting the 'CSX' logo that had not been applied to new locomotive equipment since September 2012. Some of the higher numbered locomotives were rebuilt prior to the lower numbered units, and as such were repainted earlier and received the 'boxcar logo'.
Later, CSX began adding the CSX web address under the logo on the long hood of locomotives they repainted themselves. The new rebuilds, however, do not have the web address on them so far.
