Backing into Chicago’s Union Station is a seven-car Amtrak train. I’d seen these engines listed on being on the City of New Orleans the previous day, although in reverse order (with 159 leading), but as it departs Chicago just after 8:00 pm (20:00), backing this train into the station at 8:20 am (0820) makes me suspect that this train is not the CONO after all. Engine 18 would depart later this day with train 30 (The Capitol Limited heading for Washington DC) and engine 159 led the southbound City of New Orleans (train 59) later this day, combined with AMTK 129.
