BNSF’s Sandpoint local follows the shoreline of Lake Pend Oreille as it approaches the long bridge over the lake between Algoma and Sandpoint, Idaho, on September 30, 2021. Powered by BNSF EMD SD60M No. 1411 and EMD SD40-2 No. 1924, the eastbound local will switch cars to the Pend Oreille Valley Railroad (POVA) at Sandpoint before heading back to Spokane.
