A faded warrior of an older era in railroading leads a loaded coal train onto the power plant spur, completing its journey from the mines of Wyoming.
Not many SD70MACs have remained in active service as of late, most lack PTC and have spent many years in storage, but a few have received the upgrade and have made runs across the BNSF system. Fewer still retain the old BN "executive" paint.
Coal trains have been slowly disappearing in recent years, so a vintage leader made a good excuse to shoot one.
The Becker power plant itself will eventually no longer receive coal trains, converting from coal to natural gas in the coming years.
