| Old and New.
Magyar Államvasutak (MÁV) trains are seen at Budapest's Nyugati Station. At right is a Ganz V43.1 electric locomotive, manufactured between 1963 and 1982, which is used to pull long-distance trains on the country's rail network and to neighboring countries. At left is a new Stadler KISS EMU, which were purchased for MÁV in 2017 and have taken over the majority of service on the commuter lines into Budapest. |
