Orin Line trackage in the heart of Wyoming’s Powder River Basin can still be busy at times. Four trains share tracks at Converses Junction on the afternoon of June 25, 2022. A northbound Union Pacific coal train is dropping downgrade off Logan Hill on Main 3, while a southbound BNSF is beginning its slow trek up the hill on Main 1. On the left, a BNSF empty waits to load at Antelope Mine, while another BNSF has just finished loading and is now proceeding toward the junction switch to wait on a new crew to take the train south.
