| The shadows are still long on this last day of September as VIA's combined Abitibi (601) and Saguenay (603) consist passes over the future REM tracks on CN's St-Laurent subdivision, a few minutes short of the small station of Sauvé in northern Montreal. The train will split at Hervey and the two sections will continue their journey to the northern parts of Quebec separately - 601 to Jonquière just east of Lac Saint-Jean, and 603 to Senneterre, travelling through remote forests. |
