In a couple of previous posts, I showed a couple of eastbound trains coming through downtown Springfield, MN, illustrating the view before and after the old elevator here was torn down. With the large structure out of the way, it opened up a wider view of westbound trains as well. This August 2021 shot shows my oldest taking advantage of the opportunity to record a Rapid City, Pierre & Eastern train from the new angle as my daughter gives a wave.
