Waitin' on a Train.
New York City Transit Authority (NYCTA) R32 no. 3682 (Budd, 1964-1965) is seen at the South Brooklyn Marine Terminal sticking out into 39th Street. The train and the crew are awaiting the arrival of NYNJ Rail locomotives to take the consist and haul it down to the 65th St Yard, where the cars will be de-trucked and loaded onto flat cars for their trip to Ohio for scrapping.
R32s in this consist included:
3682 / 3683,
3445 / 3468 (unconfirmed, numberboards were removed),
3840 / 3841,
3726 / 3727,
3864 / 3865,
3665 / 3664
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
