Remarks & Notes
Last Rays. New York City Transit Authority (NYCTA) R46 no. 6180 (Pullman-Standard, 1975-1978) is the lead motor on a Brooklyn-bound A train seen climbing onto the Liberty Avenue Line structure south of Rockaway Blvd Station. The front of the motor is somewhat sunlit as the brief spot of sunshine is rapidly succumbing to the dark clouds, seemingly foreshadowing the future for these cars as the new R211 models enter service.
