The UP announced last month they will go to a new corporate scheme. The wings scheme will be going away in place of the shield on the nose again and the flag moved up to a stupid spot on the side of the nose. Kind of like this paint scheme, especially new, like the 2nd motor here. As with anything at the railroad, its always changing. Probably be 20-25 years before we worry about the number of "winged" units left, but for now its something that wont last forever. Here a hot Z-train is getting the normal 2022 treatment, pulling up behind traffic to wait for awhile at Marshalltown.
