"Cité du Train" railway museum in Mulhouse: Designated until 1962 as the 060 DB, the CC 65000 class of the French state railroad SNCF was a six-axle, twin-engine diesel-electric locomotive with an output of 970 kW built in a series of 20 units. They were their first diesel locomotives for both express and freight service. With their axle load of about 18 t, they could be used on all SNCF lines. Built in 1956 by Alstohm, CAFL and SACM and withdrawn between 1981 and 1988. SNCF kept CC # 65001 and refurbished it in 1994 to its 1962 condition.
