The Rhaetian Railway has seven Geaf 2/2 shunting locomotives with electric and powerful battery drive, # 20601 to # 20607, delivered by StadlerRail in 2020. The maximum velocity is 80 km/h, so they are also used for light freight trains on short routes. But this day, the Geaf 2/2 # 20606, based in Thusis, made a longer journey, to Preda and back, a distance of 44 kilometer. The locomotive just crossed the Landwasser viaduct between Filisur and Alvanenu with train 9130 from Preda to Thusis, pulling two empty Xa-u ballast transport cars.
