The Newest Heritage Unit! MTA Metro-North Railroad Train 728 featured the south/east facing with MNCW 201 (Conrail/MTA, 40th Anniversary) leading through Spuyten Duyvil, Bronx, New York and under the Henry Hudson Bridge on Monday, August 14, 2023. This unit is one of several selected for a "wrap" to celebrate a predecessor railroad, so far the second released in a series. Normally the locomotive would be on the opposite end of the train, but was turned for this special occasion. The Consolidated RAIL Corporation (Conrail) took over from Penn Central and Erie Lackawanna in 1976 and operated the Hudson, Harlem, New Haven, Port Jervis, and Pascack Valley Lines until Metro-North assumed control of these lines (New York portions of the West-of-Hudson Lines) in 1983.
