Candy Cane Express At Night. Saturday, November 25, 2023, the 7:00 PM Saratoga Corinth & Hudson Railway "Candy Cane Express" train was led by Alco S-1 #5 ("Alco 5"). The hour long train ride offers a choice of seating classes from coach to caboose to private Pullman, and of course a visit from the big man himself - Santa! The former Delaware & Hudson Railway line had been feared lost when the previous operator suddenly went out of business, but in 2022, The Saratoga, Corinth & Hudson stepped in and has rehabilitated the track and equipment while operating a robust schedule.
