With a fresh coat of paint and relettered "CITY OF NEW YORK" the train led by R-1 381 (ACF, 1930-1931) is prepared for the upcoming Metropolitan Transportation Authority - MTA NYCT Subway/ New York Transit Museum "Holiday Nostalgia Rides". Included in the cost of a regular fare on every Saturday in December, these cars will operate round trips between 2nd Avenue (on the uptown F line) and 145th Street (on the downtown D line). During a test run on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, the train is seen passing through the 181 Street Station on the A line.
