Death Stars. Canadian National Railway Company (Illinois Central) IC 1021 (SD70, EMD) was leading a four-pack of standard cabs on L536 (1004, 1026, and 1027) when it stopped near South Normal Avenue in the Chinatown section of Chicago, Illinois on December 27, 2020. A crew member is popping out for some air while the train stopped waiting for clearance to move. There were two main clients for the EMD SD70, the last "Spartan Cab" model produced for the domestic market. Most of the 40 SD70s built for IC are still in service wearing their original paint while the 80 purchased by Norfolk Southern have either been rebuilt, retired, or sold/traded back to PRLX.
