The Danbury Railway Museum Train Ride. Due to its location being surrounded by other railroads, one might not immediately understand that The Danbury Railway Museum has several pieces of equipment that operate regularly for visitors in season. On Saturday, February 17, 2024, New York, New Haven & Hartford Railway Budd RDC 32 was brought out during the Volunteer Workshop day to take a spin. Prior to this "demonstration" trip, we had a conversation about the best way to show that the collection is not stuffed and mounted but operable, and the crew obliged. During the their busiest time last year, the Christmas season, thousands of people rode with their families and visited Santa.
