| Westbound NS coal train heads for Proviso for interchange as they pass the old C&NW M19A diesel shop near Kenzie A bunch of employees just got off the Metra train #37 ahead of this coal train. The group is now in the process of grabbing 10 units to the left and head downtown to pick up the cars and run an outbound rush hour train on the UP side. Its bumper car Metra engines here! I hear this practice will stop now that Metra has control of this operation. Since the beginning of time, the CNW side has split the power apart from the cars and brought the power here without the cars. Then freight power would shuttle the cars in and out of downtown. |
